AiSVD conducts biannual scientific gatherings at diverse locations throughout Asia, consistently offering continuing education lectures tailored for local veterinarians. In 2009, we collaborated with the recently formed Asian societies of Surgery and Internal Medicine to host the Asian Meeting of Animal Medical Specialties (AMAMS), providing attending general practitioners with a broader array of continuing education lectures spanning various disciplines.

The inaugural Asian Veterinary Dermatology Meeting took place in Taipei in November 2002, drawing 49 delegates from Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Subsequently, the second meeting was held in Seoul, Korea in November 2003, where numerous opinion leaders in dermatology convened, leading to the establishment of the Asian Society of Veterinary Dermatology (AiSVD), with Professor Munetsu Ogata serving as its first president.
